Simple Yet Effective Homemade Hair Conditioner Recipes

I’m sure we all experience bad hair day and wanting to go to the salon and fix it, however, we can make our homemade hair conditioner out of organic and all-natural ingredients which are available at home or even at our home garden.

Then natural ingredients coming from coconut water (not the coconut oil but the water which is the buko juice when it’s still young), Aloe Vera, avocado, egg, olive oil and honey are the key ingredients to these recipes in making a homemade hair conditioner.

These recipes can be as effective as those hair being treated with hot oil in salon and with some other expensive hot oil hair treatment.

What’s more of the advantage of the homemade hair conditioner, it’s all made from natural ingredients which unlikely to cause negative effects which could cause hair fall or worse, hair loss.

If you don’t have these components or ingredients at home, you can easily obtain these at your local herbal stores. Most stores selling these are Chinese and Indian stores. Although, Filipino, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries are also selling herbal products.

Homemade Hair Conditioner Recipes

  • Coconut Water With Aloe Vera Recipe

    • 2 cups of extracted Aloe Vera juice
    • 3 cups of coconut water
    • 25 drops of honeysuckle essential oil

Mix all the ingredients above. When it’s all mixed, it’s best to put it in a spray bottle for easy use.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
As a good practice, it is a smart idea to test your finished homemade hair conditioner for allergic reaction. Rub a little of the mixture in the skin of your hand and allow it to set for few minutes to see if there isn’t any allergic reactions. If none, go ahead and apply it to your hair.

Before using, give it a good shake and spray it into the hair. Use and spray it on a newly washed hair, towel dry hair and spay the homemade hair conditioner.

Comb the hair and style the way you want it. The spray will allow the hair to retain its moisture and at the same time it will protect from damage from the sun as well as other pollutants around such as dust and smoke from vehicles.

You can also spray it deep into the scalp and give the scalp a gentle massage to stimulate and encourage proper blood flow through the hair follicles. Additionally, this will prevent dryness in the scalp.

Store it in a cool place or best put it inside your refrigerator. This will last for about a month.

  • Avocado With Mayonaise Homemade Hair Conditioner

    • 1 Avocado
    • 1 Bottle of Mayonaise

Prepare the avocado and put it in a bowl as well as the whole contents of a bottle of mayonaise. Mix both well until the consistency is more like a cream. If you have a blender, it is much better so both can be well mixed.

Before applying, refer to the IMPORTANT NOTE above.

Apply this to a newly shampooed hair. This will allow the hair to retain moisture even after taking bath. Apply it evenly on all all hair and put on a shower cap for at least 15 minutes.

Rinse the hair using shampoo and lukewarm water.

  • Egg and Honey Hair Mask

    • 2 egg yolks
    • 6 tablespoon olive oil
    • 3 tablespoon of honey

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix it well until the proper consistency is reached.

Before applying, refer to the IMPORTANT NOTE above.

For application, apply this right after washing the hair. Towel dry the hair and thoroughly apply the mixture to hair length. Leave it for 15 minutes to an hour and put on a shower cap. If the hair is not damage at all, 10 to 15 minutes is enough, but if it’s badly damaged, leave it longer for an hour or more. This is an effective damaged hair treatment and natural hair conditioner.

Rinse it with shampoo along with lukewarm water. This may take time to wash, just be patient.

  • Coconut Milk With Olive Oil Homemade Hair Conditioner

    • 8 tablespoon of olive oil
    • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
    • 1 whole egg
    • 2 tablespoon of honey
    • 1 capsule of vitamin E oil

Combine all the all ingredients in a bowl and mix them all together. Make sure all the ingredients are well-mixed and consistency is good.

Before applying, refer to the IMPORTANT NOTE above.

Apply to a newly washed hair. Towel dry hair and apply the mixture until it thoroughly covers the entire hair. Leave it for at least 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it lukewarm warm water with shampoo.

The homemade hair conditioner recipes above are just a few of the hundreds of recipes that can formulated using organic and herbal products. These recipes would certainly help make hair conditioned and protect against environmental pollutants which are all around the surroundings.
